You can choose to send your friends a teaser to let them know that theres a Shot waiting for them at that location. Or, you leave your Shot as a surprise and keep your friends in the dark until they suddenly discover it with a push notification once they end up nearby.

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life.
